Mission Statement
To work with underserved, at-risk youth and young adults. We offer support and mentoring as they deal with dysfunctional homes and lack of initiative at school. We also model and mentor them on life skills (punctuality, budgeting, grooming, public relations etc.). We provide internships in food service that will not only supply funds to the non-profit but will give the students a working knowledge of food service skills and work ethic.

Community Involvement
On Saturday, September 14, 2019, Culinary Knights had its first field trip! We were invited by the Film Director and Hōkūle'a Voyager, Nā'ālehu Anthony to a special event in Los Angeles hosted by Moananuiākea. It was their West Coast Tour & celebrates the historic Mālama Honua Worldwide Voyage that connected countless individuals and communities from around the globe. We were able to take 6 girls, ranging in ages from 12-19. They had a great time, learned about different cultures and interacted with the film director. They were also introduced to another Navigator and Educator, Kala Tanaka from the Polynesian Voyaging Society. One of our young participants, Deysi was able to engage with Kala after the viewing of the documentary. Deysi was part of a rowing crew which came in 3rd place in a competition which took place in Hawai'i & was also captain of her Polynesian Dance Team at her High School. She took a keen interest in the documentary as well as had quite a few questions for the young navigator.
